Milwaukee Select 2010

The Milwaukee Select is a summer travel team that allows players from the Milwaukee area to compete in team camps and tournaments. We will field three boy's teams consisting of U19. U18, U16 and one girl's high school team. Players of all levels are encouraged to tryout for the summer program. It is great opportunity for lacrosse players to measure their ability, play against some top talent from across the country and develop relationships with players outside of their school from the greater Milwaukee area.
Tournaments for the summer will include the Denver Shootout on June 18th-20th, Gait Cup in Gettysburg, PA July 1st-4th, Midwest Challenge at Notre Dame University July 9th-11th & 23rd - 25th, Prairie Showdown July 30th - August 1st.Players are encouraged to play for their current team during the Brewtown Showdown.
Other tournaments and team camps are being considered. Tryouts for the U19 team are planned for June 7th, but may be moved up to allow the players and parents time for planning. Team costs will include tournament entry fees, some lodging, uniform, coaching, practice fees and team gear. Travel arrangements will need to be arranged. Team fundraisers will be available periodically throughout the year.

2010 Tournament's Scheduled

Milwaukee Select will be fielding three boys teams and one girls team this summer. The boys teams will be for U 19 for high school grads, U18 for rising juniors and seniors and U16 for rising freshmen and sophmores. The girls team will open to rising freshman to seniors. We will be conducting tryouts for the 2010 U18 team in March.

Practice time

Milwaukee Select will practice during the week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June and July. Practices start June 13th.


Milwaukee Select 2009 Teams

Milwaukee Select Lacrosse is a summer all-star team for high school players from throughout the greater Milwaukee area. Players have played in the MAYLA spring league or are a resident in the area.
Milwaukee Select fields both a U18 team(Blue) and a U16(Yellow) team this summer. The U18 team is for players who have not graduated from high school. U16 is rising freshmen and sophomores.
Players have the opportunity to play with some of the best in the league and against some of the best in the country.

Milwaukee Select Fundraisers

The Milwaukee Select U18 team will be headed to Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions in Westley Chapel, Florida from December 30th to January 3rd. The tournament will be run on January 1st, 2nd and 3rd.There will be a number of fundraising events to help them raise money for their trip to the National Championship. Here is how you can support them as well.
    Coffee Sale Fundraiser
    We have partnered with Alterra Coffee in the Milwaukee area to raise money for the Milwaukee Select trip. As part of the partnership Milwaukee Select players will be selling 1lb. bags of coffee for $12 and tins of coacoa and tea for $10. Look for the commemorative label with the Milwaukee Select Logo.

    Scrips Prepay cards
    Scrips offers a program where you can purchase prepay cards for specific suppliers for groceries, clothing, gas and other daily goods. By paying in advance, the purchaser receives a card that has credit. In turn, the team will receive a percentage credit ranging from 1 – 5 %.

Milwaukee Select played in Naperville

September 27th – The team traveled to Naperville to play against the U17 & U19 teams from Players Lacrosse in Illinois. Two games were scheduled for the afternoon at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM. The team split games with the Players Lacrosse teams.

October 24th - Field of Screams Tournament
The slect team traveled to Players Indoor facility to take on teams from throughout the southwestern Chicago area in an indoor 7 v. 7 tournament. The team won all six games and were crowned champions. The Milwaukee select U18 team expanded their record to 35-2 for the year.
